With more than 6,000 works spanning many centuries, from ancient art and artifacts to contemporary art, the bulk of the collection consists of two-dimensional art including paintings and works on paper, and three-dimensional objects including sculpture, decorative, and archaeological artifacts. Art for Rollins: The Alfond Collection of Contemporary Art

Explore Volumes I, II, and III of this catalog that features full color images and texts documenting The Alfond Collection of Contemporary Art, part of the Rollins Museum of Art permanent collection. Conceived by Barbara and Ted Alfond as a gift to their alma mater Rollins College, the collection is a visual syllabus that affords students the benefit of interdisciplinary learning.

Included are works by artists Mel Bochner, Tracey Emin, Lalla Essaydi, Alfredo Jaar, Imi Knoebel, Joseph Kosuth, An-My Lê, Maya Lin, Stefana McClure, Meleko Mokgosi, Jaume Plensa, Martha Rosler, Haim Steinbach, Sara Vanderbeek, and Lawrence Weiner, among others.
