The Center for Leadership & Community Engagement (CLCE) is the recipient of the 2025 Service Excellence Departmental Award.

The Service Excellence Departmental Award was established in 2011 to recognize a department or team that consistently delivers excellent customer service to members of the Rollins community and has proven its willingness to assist others in the campus community responsively, respectfully, collaboratively, competently, and inclusively.

CLCE has consistently demonstrated exceptional commitment to these standards through its elevated civic engagement work around the election, leadership of the Carnegie Re-Classification for Community Engagement process, and commitment to engaging service and leadership programming. This department has consistently showcased exemplary performance that serves as a testament to the Service Excellence standards.

One recommender shared, “This year, the CLCE team has gone above and beyond in their commitment to enhancing the student experience and fostering community partnerships. Their impactful programming, such as the ‘Dunk for Democracy’ event and Student Philanthropy Week, along with their support initiatives like the Career Clothing Closet and Food Pantry, highlight their dedication to service excellence. Each member of the CLCE team embodies these standards in their daily work, making them truly deserving of this recognition.”

Another colleague added, “CLCE’s efforts have significantly strengthened the Rollins community, setting a high standard for service excellence. Their work aligns with Rollins’ mission to prepare students to solve 21st-century problems through service-based programs and initiatives. Their dedication to creating real, lasting change is evident in their partnerships with over 250 nonprofit and civic organizations and their involvement in community impact areas ranging from the environment to public health.”
